2012 Rallies and Events

HOLIDAY PARTY

Date: November 3, 2012

Location: Mabel Tainter Center, Menomonie, WI

The 2012 Holiday party was at the Mabel Tainter Center at Menomonie, WI. on November 3rd. A catered meal was served and then the members attended the "Always Patsy Cline" show starring Coleen Raye.

SUMMER RALLY

Hosts: Wayne & Jane Hasek

Date: July 2012

Location: DeSoto, WI

The 2012 July rally was held at DeSoto, WI, hosted by Wayne & Jane Hasek. What a great job they did, as there was a lot of things to do and see. This was a Corp of Engineers park, right on the Mississippi river. We got to tour the locks & dam, had a river cruise, toured the fish hatchery, and of course, lots of good food and fellowship. Wayne brought his kayak's and a few tried them out on the river. There was a very informative program at the fish hatchery on the rearing of sturgeon for release into various lakes and rivers. The evening river cruise also gave a chance to get close to the eagles.

SPRING RALLY

Location: Flying Goose Campground, Fairmont, MN

The June rally was held at Fairmont, MN, hosted by Rodney & Brenda Gens. What a great rally they put on. The campground and facilities were very good. Here are some photo's of the activities during the rally.

FALL INTERNATIONAL RALLY

Hosts: GMCMI

Location: Amana Colony, IA

The Greater Midwest Classics Fall rally was held at Amana Colony in Iowa, along with the GMCMI convention. The ladies social was presented by the gal's from the Midwest Classics. The theme of the program was "Oh, the Places You Go", based on a Dr. Suess book. The tables were decorated with Dr. Suess bright colors and shopping bags with pennant flags that listed all the previous sites of GMCMI conventions. Each place setting included an engraved wooden trivet celebrating the 30th anniversary of GMCMI. A Dr. Suess cookie jar was awarded as first prize to Joyce M. All the Dr. Suess items that were gathered at the social, plus several fleece blankets, were taken by Jane H. and Yvonne M. to the U of Iowa Children's Hospital in Iowa City.
